I prefer to take photos of landscapes I like and then carefully recreate them as watercolor paintings later, rather than sketching on-site when I paint landscapes. Since I originally enjoy taking pictures with a camera, photographing is an important part of the watercolor creation process. The images captured in the photos capture moments that left an impression, so I strive to reproduce them as faithfully as possible in my watercolor paintings while adding vividness.
