Watercolour stretching

Stretching is done by attaching watercolor paper to a wooden panel with watercolor tape.
⚫︎Materials: The wooden panel is a B3-sized birch plywood panel, the watercolor paper is F6 size with a thickness of 300g/㎡, and the Muse watercolor tape is 25mm.
⚫︎Method: Apply plenty of water to both sides of the watercolor paper with a brush, and after waiting for a while until the watercolor paper absorbs the water and expands fully, tape it from the long side.
⚫︎Storage Method: Pre-cut the water barrier tape and store it in a ZIP lock to improve work efficiency and prevent tape deterioration.
I use watercolor paper blocks, but in the past, I would draw rough sketches directly on the watercolor paper block, paint it as is, and then separate it from the block after completion. However, the warping of the paper due to expansion and contraction during the work was a source of frustration, making it very difficult to paint. At some point, I transitioned to using stretched paper for all my work.
